GigaPan - creating primary source documents with photographic technology

Clara Phillips and Dror Yaron from CMU's CREATE Lab led a 3-hour workshop on the use and application of GigaPan.
We formed teams and captured GigaPan panoramas that day. You can see them by going to the GigaPan Gallery and searching on the tag "transformed13".
Please remember that the AIU has two GigaPan controllers, along with all of the accessories you need, including a camera.

Several local districts have used GigaPan for projects, including South Fayette Township SD which used it for an exchange program with a school in Mexico.
Other ideas include:
-creating online discussions based on posted images
-placing items of cultural or historical significance within the panorama for a "scavenger hunt" activity
-examining images posted by scientists as a way of following their work and creating conversation about the scientific process.

What ideas do you have? Dream big, and borrow the GigaPan to realize your vision.
